AgriBot is a mobile agricultural assistance application leveraging a local AI model for automated detection of corn diseases through image analysis. Farmers can photograph affected plants and instantly receive precise disease identification, clear explanations, and contextual treatment recommendations generated by AI. The app features offline-first design, ensuring usability in low-connectivity rural areas, with enhanced recommendations available when internet is accessible. All content is delivered in Creole for maximum accessibility.

Key Points:

  • Problem: Significant corn yield losses due to fungal and bacterial diseases that are difficult to diagnose early without agronomic expertise inaccessible in rural areas

  • AI Solution: Embedded AI model for real-time disease diagnosis via image analysis + generative AI for personalized treatment and prevention protocols + offline-first functionality

  • Users: Haitian corn farmers, particularly in rural areas with limited connectivity

  • Impact: Improved food security, reduced crop losses, increased yields, and positive economic impact on family farms
